All Black Everything

She got her own car 🙂

I got my very first car all on my own today. A 2010 Ford Escape Limited….ALL BLACK EVERYTHING! It has leather seats, sync system (I can talk on the phone through the speakers), satellite radio, heated mirrors. The works. It’s only been a few hours and I love it!!!

Obviously, the circumstances providing for the need and ability to get this car are putting a damper on the entire experience. But, I’m not letting myself think about that part and get sad, besides, I know my dad wants me to be happy. I went ahead and bought new instead of used because I figure that I’ll drive it until the wheels fall off. Plus, I didn’t want to be bothered with making sure it was okay and in no prior accidents and all that. I did a LOT of research and finally went to Ricart because one of my friends is a sales guy there. He sold me the car, so everybody wins!

I’m so happy to have an SUV. It’s the first one I’ve ever had. So far in my life I’ve had a Nissan Altima, Mazda Protege and Suzuki Forenza….and now I have my Ford Escape that I got all by myself! Wow. Four cars at 23 is a lot. Oh well. Like I said, I’m driving this one until it won’t drive anymore. I was suckered into buying all of the warranties. That’s okay though because I hate paying to get my car fixed and for the next six years I won’t have to!

All in all, today is a good day. This is my first major purchase!!! Man, I’m growing up. *tears*
