I’m getting free cable today.
No, nothing illegal.

I could never have free cable because 1) I don’t know any crooked cable guys – or any cable guys, period. 2) I never get away with shady stuff, I’m sure my TV would self-implode if I tried to hook cable up for free.
But, today I’m getting free cable for a month.
The Insight guy came over to offer it to me yesterday. He also asked me for my number. I don’t do ugly Africans (or ugly men at all), so I told him I had a boyfriend who was on his way home from work. Okay, I lied. But, what was I going to say?
Anyway, after I agreed to the free month of cable, he said someone would come hook it up the next day. He also gave me his card in case I wanted to call him. (No thanks!)
I’m slightly paranoid, so I woke up this morning and called Insight to make sure he was legit. He was.
So now I’m getting free cable for a month — maybe longer if I can’t part with it again.
Oh how I’ve missed my friends: Kiran Chentry, TJ Holmes, Tamron Hall, Kyra Phillips, Don Lemon, Martha McCallum, Bill O’ Reilly, Chris Mathews, Keith Olbermann, Suzanne Malveaux, Soledad O’Brien, etc (I’m a newsjunkie, don’t judge me).
I feel like I’m rejoining the world 🙂
