I got a new car!!

Well..new to me anyway After my car was mercilessly smashed in the accident, I was left without a vehicle for months. Of course, this is mostly because I injured my driving foot in the whole mess and wasn’t able to drive until two days ago.

Once I got behind the wheel and drove for the first time in 12 weeks, I knew it was time to get a new car. I had been looking online trying to determine what kind of car I even wanted. I loved my 2010 Ford Escape, but I knew I didn’t want that car again. (I don’t even want to get inside that kind of car again.) I wanted another SUV, but this time I wanted white.

I eventually narrowed it down to a white Jeep Patriot. It’s small and boxy and cute like my Ford Escape without being another Ford Escape. However, looking at cars online is different than actually looking at them on the lot. When Joe and I finally saw the car in person while walking around a used car lot, I was underwhelmed.

Besides, I knew what I really wanted.It was the car I wanted to get back in 2009, but I got the Ford Escape instead. I wanted the Lexus GX 470.

And to my absolute delight, the car dealership a few of my friends from church work at had one for sale…and it was White just like I wanted!

After work yesterday, despite the rain, Joe and I went to the Lindsay Acura dealership to look at it. Today, we went back and got it!

I absolutely hate haggling and luckily I didn’t (really) have to because the car was already a great price!

There was a moment when I thought I would never drive again and today I bought my dream car for a great price! #GodIsGood!
